  Mike Good

Mike Good was a lifelong resident of the Akron Area.  He was born February 24, 1952.  He graduated from Garfield High School where he met his lifelong sweetheart and wife, Becky.  Together they moved to Green and had two sons.  Mike worked long hours as a truck driver to support his family until his retirement in 2002.  He first became involved in soccer first by coaching his sons when they were young.  He continued by becoming a Green Soccer Association board member, playing on a senior men’s team, and later becoming a referee.   Over the years, Mike’s love for soccer grew.  He loved to watch and talk about soccer, even it if was siding with the referee on way too many occasions.  Mike passed away on December 14, 2010 after a short battle with ALS.    Mike was generous, extremely hardworking, and fiercely loyal.  He was a lover of family, soccer, golf, cold beer, and fishing.  Mike is dearly missed to this day by his family and friends.  The Good Family sincerely thanks you for attending the tournament and supporting the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter.  Click the button below to make an additional donation, thank you!
